Attempting To Make Stockings...

I saw a tutorial on Morgan Donner's website in which she attempts to create a stocking pattern from duct tape and old tights. So I decided to give it a try with what I had available.

I began by wrapping my leg up in plastic wrap, so the tape wouldn't stick...

Then I wrapped my plastic-wrap covered leg in tape...

Then I used a marker to draw where I wanted the seams to be.

And began to cut the whole thing open from the back... carefully!

Almost off!

Tada!

Then I cut the rest of the seams that I had drawn...

And tada! I should've had a pattern! But alas...

It was far too small, the pieces barely fit together, and loads of other things went wrong. I ended up doing this process about ten times and all without success.

I also tried this with tin foil... and created a copy of my leg... Do NOT reccomend.

...super creepy!

well, in the end, after trying this about ten times, this is the closest I got to a stocking.

....not exactly what I was going for.

So if you try this technique, let me know if you have better results!
