1790s Stays Part Five

The next steps for finishing the stays were to bind the tabs and punch and bind the eyelets.

I didn't have an awl, so I used a nail... I do NOT recommend this. I used embroidery floss to finish the eyelets.

I ended up binding the tabs wrong, and I may go back to fix it someday, but not now.

I did it kind of wrong, but I still like it. I also ended up fixing that burst seam in the image above.

Ta da!! Almost done. I need to make them a bit smaller, and make and add the staps.
