C. 1900 Blouse Part One: Research

Here are some original blouses that I'm using to research for my circa 1900 blouse. All are from the Philadelphia Art Museum Collection, and from 1895 to 1910.

Notes:

Themes

- lots of insertion lace

- Often in a cream colour - black common as well

- Wool, taffeta, Chantilly lace

- Sleeves start wide at top and taper

- High collar
